Leadership Development Programmes

In Leadership Development Programmes, there is usually a focus on bringing about some change in focus, skills or capability of leaders in the organisation.

I work with groups of managers to develop their skills in areas such as:

Self-Management - helping individuals to understand their style and impact; developing people’s focus on continuous learning and development

People Management - developing managers’ understanding and skills in all aspects of managing, motivating and developing their people

Engagement - working with individuals to improve their communication skills and outcomes; enabling people to achieve deep commitment to action from others

Impact & Influencing - enabling people to compare their actual impact in different situations with their intentions; working with individuals to discover how they can be most effective at influencing and inspiring others

Challenging Conversations - giving individuals the confidence and skills to tackle situations that they feel are difficult or potentially sensitive

"She showed a capacity to facilitate in-depth workshops that really stretched participants, and at the same time, people were enabled to be at ease with the content and approach very quickly - no mean feat!"

Learning & Development Manager

"Sue is a brilliant trainer.  Although I was apprehensive about the programme I came away from the course with so much more confidence."

Adult Learning Services Manager.

"Sue’s contribution to developing and running management appraisal training has been invaluable.  Working with us, Sue developed a high quality programme that not only raised awareness of our process and practices, but also developed essential, performance management skills."

Experiential Workshops

I have developed an experiential skills development approach that is designed to achieve significant skills improvements over 1-2 days.  This approach is most effective when we work with small groups (3 - 4 participants), and where we can focus on one or two areas.  This approach is particularly appropriate with senior people who are already competent in a number of areas, and who use the opportunity to ‘fine tune’ their style and behaviour.  When I deliver experiential workshops, I partner with experienced and highly skilled corporate role-actors

"I particularly valued the scope to work on our individual needs... Most useful was the absolute relevance of what we did to my role and the use of real situations."
