Development Centres

Development Centres provide a powerful means for individuals to experience relevant work simulations, add to their self insight, receive feedback, and identify specific development points.

A high percentage of my work has involved creating and implementing tailored development centres, consistent with established ‘best practice’ principles.  The success of my projects has been evidenced in a high rate of repeat and referred business.  Feedback from clients indicates that they particularly value:

  The credibility of the centres I create.  Participants see their experience as relevant and valid.  Organisations appreciate that I understand their business context and needs.

  The effectiveness of feedback.  Where there is a development agenda, the potential value of any feedback is determined by how individuals receive it and decide to respond.  I have a strong ‘track record’ of challenging people’s self-perceptions in a way that they feel able to accept and move forwards with.

  Usable, insightful outputs.  I work closely with clients to work out how information and feedback can best be structured and captured to make sense to users.  I use my professional skills to integrate and ‘make sense’ of different data sources, so my clients don’t have to.

  Whole process focus.  I appreciate the sensitivities that often go with running Development Centre projects, and I make this knowledge and expertise available to clients so that work is clearly and appropriately positioned with all the key stakeholders.  I have a reputation for taking care of the important points of detail.
